Default burning smell from engine area

Just need to know what this smell could be.

I set off with loads of throttle in 1st gear but my clutch was not fully up, then I started getting this smell entering the cabin while i was driving.

it like burning rubber kind of smell, I had it once before then it went away after a while. I could smell it from the engine compartment but cannot see any smoke.

any idea's ?

That means you need to sort out your driving.

just purchased a DV12 Bailey Dump valve, (VTA) looks like its going back on fleabay, many don't favour this type of valve, as it will probably suffer drivability problems relating to juddering on fast gear changes and shuddering when easing off the throttle from low boost.

I just hope that is also the case for mine, I really don't want any issues, and if there is a problem, its coming straight off, the good-side to this is, its only a 10min job and very accessible to work on.
