My 05 wrx ppp has been sat for 14 months needing a rebuild, after my recovery from an accident.

It's been stripped and is ready to be rebuilt its done 29k miles.

The crank shaft is cracked

One rod is gone and bearings.

I'm it interested in upgrading the internals as I won't be keeping it long enough to get the benefit.

What I do need to know is what standard parts I need replacing as well as the internals.
Where to buy for best quality or price?

I noticed a group buy on a nitrided cam shaft how quickly could I get one?

sounds exactly the same as me! i brought my 03 wrx with a buggerd engine ( once rebuilt im going to sell as i now need a van, so my rebuild has been a complete waste of time)

i brought a nitrate crank and ACL bearings off advancedautomotives as well as a bottom end gasket set and a modified oil pump

i also needed one conrod so brought a good used set off ebay

i got a exedy clutch and top end gasket set off euro car parts

thats pretty much all i needed and at the best prices i could get

Hi Andy. You could send us your box of bits and we will rebuild it for you and send it back, complete with crankshaft (used), ACL Race bearings, new oil pump, head gaskets, timing belt etc... All you need to do is fit the rest of your ancillaries and fit it back in your car.

We could do all that for £1,200 plus postage!
