Wrx bugeye technical help plz guys...
Hi guys I'm after some experience here, I am restoring my 2000 bugeye to a usable car from the abortion of a boy racer project it was when I picked it up off of a skint friend.
My latest headache is boost based, it had a Manual BOOM Controller fitted & a piper cross induction kit, made it pull hard then hiccup (fuel cut maybe?) so I tore it all out and bought some standard equipment as advised here :-)
Does anyone know where the restrictor pill should be located & the order of tee's for solenoid & boost gauge? I currently have the pill between the turbo & the first tee for the waste gate actuator, I then have it tee'd again for solenoid & then boost gauge.
Currently it pulls well then backs off as if you lifted the throttle then pulls again hard to the limiter...
The boost gauge shows 0.5 bar boost then as it lulls it bounces down then jumps to 0.5 again as it pulls but as you let off the throttle it jumps to 0.9bar momentarily?
I am guessing I have the pill on the wrong place or a damaged wast gate actuator?
Other info that may help with diagnosis is it has a blow off valve not a re circ valve but this appears to be functioning correctly

From what i know there is 2 size restrictor pills so are you sure have the right one for your car?
There is still a chance that the DV may be leaking slightly.
Any chance you can get your hands on a mitsi-vac to test the wastegate?
