my 280 bhp silver inlet ej 20 k engine has gone bang as far as i know its version 3-4 sti engines is there another engine i can drop in and use the same inlet and loom that is already in the car as im finding it hard to find another ej20 k engine or what would you recommend on an engine rebuild as its got a slight knock on the bottom end and the passenger side head gasket has gone i dont want to go stupid bhp just reliable cheers peeps

 

personally if u can afford it rebuild as a 2nd hand lump could gould go bang also then u be bk 2 square 1

 

oh also most of the short engines will fit but u will require new head gaskets with your heads
few forged engines been up lately and also a few newage sti engines which is the way i would be looking if not rebuilding
