I know the parts needed to do this can be sourced from a newage vehicle...does that include bugeye or just blobeye onwards?

It'd be a start if you told us which classic pump you're using and which one you were planning on using

Anything is possible and you'll probably need to use the power steering lines to the rack but you haven't given us enough details to go on.
