Angry Getting off the alternator pulley, Classic MY97/98

Hi!

Anyone got an idea how to get off the alternator pulley?

Tried undoing the screw and failed over and over again...

Cheers
Andy

a impact gun will work the best.

i tried once to put something inside it to stop it moving around. that ended in a mess with the casing braking into bits lol

Air gun to undo the nut. You can do it just holding the pulley by hand but a strap oil filter wrench will be a better idea. Leave the nut so it is screwed on to be level with the end of the shaft, then using a NYLON hammer to knock the shaft through the pulley. Having the nut on the shaft stops you damaging the threads and dropping the alternator when it does come loose.
