Default MY05 WRX revisions?

Could anyone confirm the revisions that came with the MY05 blobeye? WRX specifically.

I know that they had the revised climate/audio controls (was the rest of the dash the same?), inverted shocks (does this apply to wagon as well?) and red calipers (brakes upgraded at all, or just painted?).

Was there anything else?

Would you say it is worth holding out for a MY05 blobeye, rather than a MY03-04? Other than aesthetically, is the climate control improved, does it have a proper auto fan & vent setting?

Dont know all the ins and outs mate but do know a few. Rest of the dash=same, calipers just painted,IMHO the inverted shocks is a reason not to buy an 05 one.Hope that helps

Smaller steering wheel, well worth having. Though at 370mm, still too big

Cheers

Yeah, I can see that the knocking inverted struts could be good reason to not go for a MY05, but from what I've seen, as long as the piston rod is not scored, then a strip down and re-grease of the strut body sorts it.

I just think the centre console looks a lot better, and, setting aside the knocking, surely the inverted struts are stiffer and so improve the handling?

I suppose it's not a deal breaker for me, as if a really good MY04 came up I wouldn't ignore it.
