Hi guys, went for a longish drive the weekend first long drive in ages an most of the way i could smell burning oil! also a small cloud of smoke under the car!

there is oil on the left side of the engine dripped on to the cat1. its right near the rocker cover but there is no oil around the cover so dont think its the rocker gasket,

anyone have any idea where it could be coming from? like i said its near the left rocker right by the engine mount. Any oil seals around this area?? Scoob is a non turbo

The usual place is the rear of the o/s cam cover gasket.

Up on a ramp and get a torch underneath.

Pretty sure I've found where the leak is but no idea what it is, its coming from the round bit in the middle of pic, right next to the rocker.

Did you get this sorted and how much if yes? I have a similar thing occured.
