Just bought a 2002 wrx bugeye it's misfiring under boost

Drives absolutely sweet till 4k revs under boost then starts misfiring there's no stored fault codes. So what you guys recon the problem is ?

Had the same problem with my 2000 classic, I changed the plugs, fuel filter and pump, knock sensor but nothing. Then it sat on my drive for a week, went out and started it and the check engine light was on. Turns out to be the Maf sensor. Now it runs like new!

Maf or coilpack, Give the maf a clean an I recon it will be fine.

I'll swap the maf over with the one on my other bug that's running sweet. Got set of plugs to fit just trying to put that job off

Right update time

I've changed the spark plugs coil packs and the maf senser. And it's still doinging it. If I turn boost controller off all is sweet so it's only happening under boost with boost controller on So I'm now thi king got. Duff injector but only when under load what you lot recon ?

Hi i had a classic in my workshop that sent me round in circles for weeks! Same problem, missed and spluttered under boost. It turned out to be a weak acctuator that was allowing the wastegate to flap about.
