Default What dump valve for high turbo pressure?

Going to be running an MD321T Billet on my 2.1 stroker / 6 speed classic. Currently only using a VF35 and newage TMIC with attached flanged Forge DV.
I will be fitting a FMIC (bought and sat in its box) but am wondering what DV I should use?

What DV's other people use for their 400-500bhp set-ups?

Just had a look at them they look good and aren't too expensive.

Are they reliable?

TIAL are used in drag racing applications so you should be good with only a MD321T fella

I rate the forge stuff! just get the spring and shim kit to fettle! what about getting a flange welded in the IC pipework to use your existing one? Or does the pipe already have a tube a different fitting?

I know its the done thing that some modern turbos can put up with running DV less, but the way i see it (and i could be wrong here), but if DVless breaks weaker turbos, then inevitably it will put more load on, and therefore wear out sooner, the modern stronger turbos like the SC's and MD's. It may take a few years more, but the logic stacks that running pressure releif isnt a bad idea with no drawbacks!

Id be interested to hear a more knowledgable and impartial view on this.

I like the forge stuff as its burly, reliable and easy to setup! With the spring and shim kit, you can wind it as tight as it will go (therefore equivelant of DVless pretty much), then just back off the springs till theres slightly more psshhhh, and less chatter. That way youve removed the peak back pressures which are proportional to load on the turbo, but retained optimum pressure in the inlet between boosts..... make any sense?
