hi people, quick question. i was driving home when my car cut out, managed to pull over and get it restarted, 2mins down the road it happened again and then it started losing power and then gaining it again, then cut out. not to sure what it is as its my first scooby, its a 96 wagon.

In my case it was the plug going into the AFM. It's the wee plug going into a black cylindrical section between your air filter and intake pipe. Give it a wiggle and see if it makes a difference. I unplugged mine and scooshed some WD 40 in it.

i hope it is that, was just reading up on fuel starvation, not good! dont suppose you know if theres a way of sorting my prob if its fuel starvation? thank you

it sounds like fuel starvation - but, that could mean all sort of things (fuel pump on way out or a bad electrical connection to pump....). have a look at the electrical connection to the pump - it is a known problem with scoobs..
