Default Hawkeye Sti - Centre pipe snapped in two! - known issue?

So today my Spec D decides to throw a further spanner in the works and literally sever the centre pipe cleany right after the resinator box... anyone else had this or is it just me and my bad luck (again!)

Interesting - the metal isn't crumbling with rust but its very very thin so a weld isn't really an option.
Only had the car 3 months (the second and third of which were spent with the kind chaps at API rebuilding the engine following the beloved 2.5 H/G failure!) but I guess its maybe spent its early life nose down before me.
API are sending me out a second hand one ASAP for now so we can then talk options when i've done the 1000 mile engine run in... top guys!

Top man... will be good to get back on the black stuff to rack up those run in miles. Clutch is bedding down a bit now after 250 miles. Bite wasn't at all as bad as i thought it might be (only stalled once!) and the judder is settling now I've slipped it a bit on the M40. Everything else seems to be going well apart from the underwear change i needed when the exhaust fell off! (Not an API issue i might add to those that are reading!).

Tempting i must say. To be honest if it weren't for the cash flow and re-map cost I'd be headed toward a system ASAP.

Well it be worth having if you having remap mate... Won't get much benefit getting standard car mapped. My blob had it on with these mods

255 fuel pump
K&N panel filter
Heat 7plugs

Got 325bhp and 330lbs
Well worth it
