Default Simtec into a Type r Dccd

i'm sitting here thinking to myself that the Dccd box runs through the standard ecu on my v5 typeR
So if i was to buy a 2nd hand simtec would my Dccd still ?

dccd is controlled by it own ecu so no need to worry.
