heat wrap them both bud, helps keep the heat in to keep the gases flowing quicker or thats the theory anyway, turbo blanket is supposed to do the same but unless your running a high power set up i wouldnt bother. a lot of people ceramic coat them now but its pricier than wrapping.

As above heat wrap both of them like Downpipe and headers including the Up pipe,if its possible use Stainless locking wire/ties

About the heat blanket, depends on the if you are running FMIC or TMIC,if you are still will be running TMIC would say yes,PTP blankets are regarded as best

get the wrap abit wet, goes on easier, less fibres come off it and you can get it tighter so when dries it's on proper tight, so can get away with just a few ties

You will use a full 50 foot roll by 2" to do a complete downpipe and uppipe. Doing a set of headers properly, doing each individual runner as far as possible will use about about 70 feet so that is a roll and a bit.
Wrapping the headers particularly is a fiddly laborious job but worth doing properly and you should use quality heat wrap unless you are prepared to rewrap when the cheapo stuff drops off, ie regularly. I only use DEI heat wrap which has a stitching down each side to help as a guide on overlap and reduce over wrapping. Apply damp, keep it tight and the more ties the longer it will last particularly if you suffer mechanical damage from flying road debris.

You need to take the headers and uppipe off to do it properly. Doing it on the car you will make a pigs ear of the job.

Can't say there are any problems with the DEI wrap but some of the wraps have very short fibres which could cause a problem.
