New to Subaru's
Just Bought my first Impreza, a 2005 STi with 340 bhp and i love it! It has done 48,000 miles and drives extremely well and fast and sounds great. However it has an annoying dump valve attached to it.
I was wondering if anyone could tell me how i can take it off or how i can replace the whoosh noise with the flutter or pigeon noise.
It currently has a turbosmart valve attached.
Your help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Charlie and welcome.
Wide track nice car and what colour did u get?
In regards to the flutter it's normally the induction kit that makes that noise unless it's a monster turbo with an external waist gate.
If you have the recerk valve then it should take 30 mins to change Aslong as its has a top mount? It will not need a tweak on the map

Its the standard Sti set up just had a live update from a company called AWD Motorsport, i think! I was told that i can just place a plate on the intercooler where the valve is currently. Is that true?
