** Engine rebuild help 97wrx JDM * *
Hi Guys my bro ,took the engine out of his 97 wrx classic import to do a few mods ect* after we put the engine back in, there is now a tappy / clicking noise from the left side head, possibly valve buckets mixed up? causing the noise ( do not have hydraulic lifters)

Sounds like a incorrectly fitted shim(fallen out) or mixed up shim (put back in wrong place). Best check tappet clearances or whip out cams and check fitment of shims.
