Default JDM comparison of models

Hey all

As some of you guys know I have already decided on a path for my sti but a mate is wanting to buy one too.

What I need to know is is there anything that you need to look out for between the V8-10 shape (the sedans) compared to the new shape hatch. I know the JDM versions all use the 2.0 engine but is there anything I need to be aware of with the new shape? like is the SI drive something that breaks or makes tuning harder?

Basically what do I need to be aware for someone buying the current shape STI hatch (2007-current) ?

Thanks for your help guys, he wants to go as new as possible but not if the new shape has some reliability issues that the older ones don't ?

P.S this is ONLY regarding JDM 2.0 ltr STI models.

Ok so am I RIGHT in saying that the current shape 2.0 JDM is just as reliable and thrashable as a 2005 blobeye/hawkeye/bugeye 2.0 JDM sti?

The 2ltr JDM engine is one of the best they have produced, if not THE best engine
