Default Engine Management Light and Revs Jumping

Hi Guys.

Just looking for a bit of advice really.

Went to drive to work in the week and as I pulled away the engine management light came on and the revs started jumping.

Throttle became very jerky.

I pulled back in a left in the garage all week. I do have it booked for next week but was just wondering if it could be something simple as the car has been running faultless.

Could it be the Idle Control valve?

Its a 2005 Blob STi.

Any help much appreciated.

Turns out it was the idle control valve.

Swapped mine out for one of another STI and it was sweet as a nut.
