Modded 730 cc stock bug injectors
Welcome to toneh,s modded injector thread
I'm sure it's been covered before but I'll cover it again cuz I'm bored
This was done on 2001 bugeye stock injectors
First off I must stress , do not do as I say because your car will blow up (maybe)
And there are other injectors available and injector modding company's
( said that just to keep the usualls happy )
First off your flow test shopping list
12v supply ( battery charger )
Measuring device ( baby bottle )
Scooby bug fuel pump ( a good un) must be 3 bar
240v timer ( must go down to 1 min) fleabay £5
Electrical connector for injector ( old bug , BMW )
Two clips and hose ( for pump to injector connection)
0.3 drill bit And little moddlers holder (boyes about £2 for a set)
Petrol & suitable container
Suitable gadget to hold injector ( must be sturdy )
I tested my set up on known flow rate Bmw injectors
Plug timer in (set for 1 min)
Connect injector plug to charger and also injector also connect pump to same
Connect injector to pump (secure tight )
Try and keep all connections good ( don't want too many sparks , could blow u up )
Put pump in fuel
Point injector into measuring beaker or bottle
Switch on then run ( not really )
My result for the BMW injectors was spot on the known flow rate
So onto the wrx injectors , I didn't want to de cap because you lose the spray pattern , so methodically I slowly started working round all the holes by hand with the drill bit , and washing as I went along ( there are no bits of swarf you can see because the drill is so small
Do the first one and flow test it , the tricky bit is matching them all spot on , I went from 600 ,650 , 670 , untill I got them all to match at 730
It takes time and patience but you will get there
( beats watching wheeler dealers all Sunday )
Install injectors , map and jobs a good un

Yeah go for it mate , I get bored pretty easy ( as you can probably tell)
So always messing about with summat
Oh one last tip , don't let an injector point in your face while on with fuel in
It's better than dove for washing your face but makes your eyes sting ( loads )

I get my pics of my iPhone using the photo bucket app, upload straight to photobucket and then copy the img tag from the pics in your album.
Does sound like a nice easy yet time consuming mod :-)

Yeah dead easy mod , but did take a full day , most tricky bit was getting them to match perfect
But it's better than decapping them , keeps a nice spray pattern
