Default having 2nd thoughts on more power

i have a 2004 wrx and just about to fit my upgrade parts which are

full decat miltec exhaust
japspeed intercooler
decat uppie
td05 turbo
pinks
kn air filter

the question is i use this as my every day car and i dont want to push the engine too much with more power making it un reliable or going bang lol. do you think this would still be ok or should i leave out the bigger turbo and pinks keeping the power down.

I'm guessing you are aiming at 400 BHP. Once you have that sort of power you won't look back, & although your engine should in theory take the power, the chances of having reliability issues will increase & you must accept that this is a risk.
My 96 STI has gone from standard 280bhp to 440bhp over the last year thanks to Bob Rawle, Harvey & Paul Finch, & while I have had the odd glitch, I have to say that the car is awesome & I could not go back to standard power now.

Was hoping around 350 bhp mark but wanted the car still to be reliable as a daily car

350 bhp should be fine and is well in the workings of your 2004 wrx.there are loads of subarus running that bhp without a single problem dont worry yourself mate, you should be fine as long as your car is well maintained before and after your planed modifications.

I'm running 346bhp in my blob WRX and have been for nearly 6 months now with the only issue being a stuck on injector which was an easy fix, ecu malfunction. As above, as long as its well maintained you should be ok. There's always a risk of course but going on previous owners experience you should be ok. I was always more worried about the gearbox to be honest, I do have plans for an STI 6 speed in the future for piece of mind but for now I'm just enjoying it

Will still be a great car at that level & reliability should not be an issue.

3 port boost solenoid is cheap, get one from a classic, loads on ebay for 20 to 30 quid.#
its makes the mapping better as they can control the boost more
