Yep I've done it with a walbro..
The fuel pump housing is the same in the wrx and the sti as it's transferred over from the legacy believe it or not. I fitted a walbro GS342 in mine. I cut out the relevant areas of the housing and double stacked the o-rings to ensure a good seal. How ever I did have to file the plastic on the top of the pump just in front of the terminals to make it sit up a touch further in the housing in order to snap to two halves back together.

Cheers Rob
Did it take a lot of pressure to get the housing back together? Had a HRC Pump in at the weekend and took it back out again because we dident want to break it with the pressure needed on the housing to clip it back together.
Also how are the pump noise levels?
Thanks for the info mate.

Hi Graham, It took quite abit more pressure to clip it back together to be honest, I had to re-use the std Teabag filter on the base of mine too which tended to cause the base of the housing to bulge out a little bit, Once its clipped in it will settle to its new shape, The walbro is a little more noisey on startup but once running I cant really hear mine above the exhaust noise and sound system to be fair.
