Alarm problems

Alright chaps could do with a bit of advice had a phone call this morning off my neighbour with a garage next to mine to say my alarm was going off so went down and like he said my alarm was going mad I unlocked it with the fob the car unlocked but none of the lights flashed hmmm went to start it and the battery was dead so dunno how long it's been going off for I ain't used it for a few days so that might of contributed to the dead battery I took the battery lead off and that's shut the alarm up for now any ideas guys as I ain't got a clue

Had a similar issue with my MY03 STi last year.
Battery was near end of life, not chargning fully, and if not driven for 5 or 6 days would drain the battery.
Alarm would then trigger as current dropped.
Hope its just your battery.

alright chaps after putting in a bit of charge all seems ok had it checked by my local subaru specialist and they confirmed its because im not using it enough lol they checked the battery and alternator just in case and all is ok so i think i need to start using it a bit more or disconnect the battery if not using it for a week or so lol cheers for the input guys
