Default leaking steering rack-help

when my 04 wrx blob was on the ramp yesterday i had a look around it and found at the front o/s a wet patch-it was near a small gaitor on the steering arm its like a box thing with steering pipes coming out of it but its leaking somewhere,any idea if the seals can be replaced or is it a new rack job?

I bought a used one from here and the seals went as soon as the wheel was turned to bleed the rack. It cost me another £100 to get it repaired/refurb`d but at least it`s like new now.

I don`t know mate Mine was sent to a pro to be done.

Shame yours isn`t a V7 as I have a rack at home which I bought in error.

Apparently STI racks are an improvement on a WRX one (don`t know the reason, just what I`m told). Be careful you do get the right one for your year (that`s why I`m stuck with mine). It`s the hose mounting points which changed practically every year apparently
