Default Dump Valve Problems (Re-Posted)

Hi guys just wanna see if anyone can help still, i had a Baileys VTA on my 2001 Bugeye, started not dumping off properly so thought prob faulty as was old, now got a new one and it dumped off a couple of times wen driving the car hard but now not at all ! spoke to 2 garages because a friend said sounded like an actuator problem, like it was sticking, they said as long as boostin fine its def not an actuator, ive got a boost guage and is boosting fine, but not dumping off at all in any gear ! could it be air leak or actuator sticking !??? no one knows!!

Might be a freaky coincidence but have you checked to make sure the piston in the dump valve isn't sticky...I had this issue on an mr2 years ago".. Took it apart and ran a bit of wet n dry round the piston and bore... Cleaned it up good as new....plus baileys in my opinion aren't a great dump valve to start with...hth

umm cheers for some of the replies :/ no dint go 4 another Baileys , not got one bolts straight onto the intercooler. i tried cleaning Baileys out but i got feeling not the dump valves as 2 broken ones bit of co incidence? does anyone know if an actuator can still be faulty but still boosting ok , and would this prevent me "dumping off" so to speak ??
