Default Phantom radiator leak - damp patch

Hey all.

I have only had my car for almost 2 months. One thing that has worried me is a damp patch of my driveway, just below the bumper on the driver's side.

Sometimes I smell coolant when driving. The levels are OK but I am worried the cold weather will kill my rad. I traced the leak to around the drain screw, but there has only been a patch twice (a few weeks apart).

Also, the temp gauge is dead in the middle even on long runs. I have ordered a rad from Matty on here. Have you guys come across this?

J

Yep!!! Twice!!!

The first time, the drain plug had been over tightened and ruined the thread. Constant leaks.

The second time was on a metal joint. It didn't start leaking till the fans were just about to kick in. It was a massive pain in the ar55e.

I replaced for new in the end as i had the same fear about winter and having no coolant in the car.
