help needed with my engine code???
Hi all,im a newbie on here and with scoobys 
.
just purchased my first subaru wrx with im told has a sti engine and box?
the engine number on top of the engine where the gearbox mates says....
305506303875.
vin plate says JF1GC8KD3WG******
THE CAR IS A 1998 UK SPEC.
LOADS OF PROBLEMS I THINK?
NOT BOOSTING??
SURGING SLIGHTLY AT A CONSTANT 60MPH
AND TAPPING COMING FROM THE TOP OF CYLINDER 1" NEAREST DRIVER.
PIPE FROM INTAKE TO BOOST GAUGE IS COMPLETLY FLAT AND KINKED EVERYWHERE.ANY HELP WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED.THANKYOU

YES MINE IS A UK2000 BUT FITTED WITH A STI ENGINE AND RUNNING GEAR.ELECTRIC SUNROOF MIRRORS AIRCON ETC.TAPPING IN THE HEAD IS A SHIM ADJUSTMENT (BEEN TOLD THIS) MY MAIN CONCERN IS THE CAR WILL NOT BOOST???AND A SLIGHT CONSTANT ON-OFF SURGE AT A STEADY SUTAINED 60 MPH FOR INSTANCE.
