What mods for 350kw at the wheels??????
Hi all,
I am a new member and just got my first Blob JDM STI and it is completely stock.
I was hoping to achieve about 330-350kw at the wheels safely on this car when I am finished so wanted to know what mods would you all recommend to reach this power level. It will be a daily drive and will be used occasionally on track days so will get dual boost maps.
(If possible please give a few turbo options because I am live in a remote country so getting parts can be a challenge)
Apart from the obvious mods what other mods would I need:
Full Decat turbo back 3” bore exhaust system
Custom flanged up/down pipes
Walbro 255 l/hr uprated fuel pump
K+N panel filter
NGK Racing 8 Spark plugs
Fuel Lab turbo specification fuel pressure regulator with fitting kit & gauge
Twin Port 650cc Injectors
Custom cold air induction
Boost controller
FMIC
Which turbo??

350kw is about 470bhp, so tyres, then brakes, then chassis, then you can think about power.
Whats your budget? as making a 470bhp reliable CAR is alot more work then just putting a 470bhp engine in it!

If you want a car that is laggy and useless on the road, but is easy (and cheap) to drive off boost (which will be up to/over about 4500 rpm), go for it.
For me, the advantage to a turbo is to give good/immediate torque lower down, as pretty much any engine will produce power higher in the rev range.
IMO you might be better off with a Vauxhall VXR8.

350kw is around UK 470bhp/476ps
At this level would say FMIC will be needed,650cc can be enough,8's spark plugs,would say we are run 7's at 490bhp and many people running them at 550bhp+ without the problem
Turbo choice,all depends if you are planning run 20% methanol or just highest possible octane fuel.
If you are planning run 20% methanol would say LM450,MDX321T Twin scroll or SC46 Twin Scroll will be good choice
If you are planning run only fuel,would say MDX321V Twin scroll or SC50 Twin Scroll,LM480
