Default Newbie asking for a little help and advice

Hi guys my name is Daz, im a Volvo forum owner (www.volvotuners.co.uk) and am on the verge on selling my Volvo V70 T5 R Replica (seen here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2611174453...84.m1558.l2649) as i really want to get back into the wacky world of subaru I have owned subaru in the past and always enjoyed them but the work i did on them was limited (as i was only young lol)

Now main question, i have been reading this thread: https://www.scoobynet.com/projects-4...onversion.html and want to do the same but with a 2.0 sport im buying from my mate, im getting it dead cheap and have the mechanical knowledge and spare cash to make it my own, so i have been looking at a spares/repairs WRX to use as a donor car

Now looking at the said thread in the above paragraph i was slightly confused on how much would be needed to change or is it the 1.6 that needed so much change to wiring??

I think what im asking is what will i need to change from the donor to the sport?? Any help would be massively appreciated and hope that we all get along just nicely

Oh by the way, i will also do a full details project thread on the conversion from start to finish as i know it always helps with forum promotion lol

Daz

I would just buy a wrx or a uk turbo. I get you want to make the car your own but it's not worth it :S

Hi Daz

in all honesty if it was me I wouldnt go for a conversion mate
you would be probably cheaper and a hell of a lot less hassle to buy a impreza wrx or sti or turbo 2000
there are some pretty good ones going for very reasnoble prices

if you get a scoob speak to keith michaels about insurance as they are good for subaru insurance

nice volvo BTW

I'm afraid a Subaru CAN NEVER be converted to have your pipe and slippers under the dash, it's just can't be done.

Better stick to the Volvo, they are standard fitment, aren't they?

LOL

hahaha im 27 so far from pipe and slippers lol, only reason i have a volvo is cos i was handed down from my grandad in july 2011 and he died in march 2012 so its more sentimental than wanting one, but i miss my old scoobs just wayyyy too much
