Default Boost too high! Sti version 3

Hi all

Ive just bought my new STI Version 3 Wagon.
Everything seems stock on the car.
Only Mods are Greddy Boostgauge and Turbotimer.
Even the exhaust ist standard turbo back

The problem now is as soon i go full throttle boost raises to 1.5 even 1.6 bar then it cuts out.
on normal driving or half throttle till about 1.3 bar everything is fine.
But full throttle is impossible it hits about 1,55 bar evertime.

Why is that? Car seems absolutely standard. What can i do now to fix that problem? i would be happy with the standard boost dont know why it is so high!

regards !!

I wouldnt be letting it hit that boost at full throttle again mate .
Can you check the boost control pipework and have a read of this boost related article

car drives good now.
i saw the uppipe and midpipe is a stainles steel one. causes this the extra boost?
i thought it will hit the fuelcut at 1.1 bar? this means anyone in japan may fitted a special ecu or mapped it?
what can i do to reconstruct what happend to the car?

boost gauge is also a sign of beeing mapped in my eyes.

will it need dofferent injectors or fuelpump for 1.3-4 bar?

Boost gauge is not a sign it was mapped thats a bit of a crazy assumtion. Only way to know is check the ecu. The V3 ecu isnt mappable from the factory until you get a esl daughter board fitted.

You will not need to change injectors or fuel pump but it may be worth getting a tuner to put their eye over it to double check everything is ok
