Default Bugeye-Remove ALL cats before remap?

Hi

Subaru NEWBIE. Ive bought a late 2001 Bugeye WRX. Standard apart from an aftermarket backbox. 86k miles. FSH.

Im planning on a remap in the not too distant future so want to get car ready.

As i live on the IOM there's no MOT tests so could i remove all cats from the exhaust by buying decat pipes? Better flow?

What do i do with the existing sensors?

How many types of downpipes are there? Which would anyone recommend?

Whats the recommendations on changing the other sections.

I would buy second hand if i knew what were the best options.

Im confused by the turbos available. What is the standard turbo for this car? Would there be any need to fit another for remap of 280ish bhp?

Whats the twin scroll jdm turbo?

Thanks for any input. This is an awesome forum, and im dying to spend some money on the car!

Cheers.

Loose the uppipe cat, downpipe cat, add a straight through center, all being well 280 won't be a problem with a remap. EML's related to exhaust sensors will be removed on the map.
