Default water/electrical problem

Hi, MY96 Impreza Type RA has a weird electrical problem. I've posted about this before and was told to see an auto electrician. However, the problem occurs ONLY when I wash the car. Water must be getting in the electrical system somehow.

The ignition and sidelights stay on no matter what I do. So I have to disconnect the negative from the battery terminal, which is getting very very annoying.

Has anyone had this problem?

Do I still take the car to an auto electrician?

Cheers.
