Default blitz nur spec R fitted... unimpressed

so had my blitz nur spec r fitted to my03 blob 2 weeks ago and tbh im totally unimpressed.
have read loads of posts from people saying how loud it is but tbh mines isnt overly loud.
i was expecting alot louder tbh.
i do around 60 miles to and from work on the motorway and its fine, can hear my "classic fm" on the radio no probs without turning the volume up to crazy levels.
sorry this was just a general rant as i was expecting it to be stupid loud and was a wee bit let down when i can still hear the wife moaning at me in the passenger seat when i was fully expecting this exhaust to save me and drown out her voice haha.

Was it new? If so, give it some time to gain its voice! I had the 'S' and it was plenty loud enough.

Is yours decatted? My blitz Nur Spec R sets car alarms off when I park. Sounds like pure thunder, it's good but only is small doses, On the Country roads Its nice let it bark, I have a bung fitted whilst in towns, it's not worth annoying other people and giving the scooby a bad rep.

That's not the same as mine, your rear box has a resonated box where it meets
The centre pipe, mine is also straight pipe with no bends

I find mine not too loud either, but the difference is, it's loud and actually sounds good. Also the newage sound proofing is better than you think, open a window or two..

Decat definitely helps mind you..

I love mine though

it may sound kinda loud outside (never let anyone else drive my car so dunno) but i was expecting burst eardrums from the way others were talking about it . what do you think would be worthwhile upgrades to merrit a remap ?

Overated coke can sound tbh, there are other scoob alternatives out there that sound a lot better just by being not so damn loud. If you want loud decat your system and remove resonator box on nur spec

I have an nurspec r on the RB5, with headers and downpipe etc and it would blow the ears off you....at 80mph its serious loud and annoying!!

Also sets off every car and shop alarm in the local main street if you give it any throttle...get a downpipe and headers on and you'll be laughing (for a while until the novalty wears off lol).

Do not remove the resonator unless you want it to sound rubbish. The resonator in the Nur Spec R is there to tune the sound, not to make it quiet. Removing it makes it raspy and nasty.

If you want loud loud loud then yes, full decat and team ice. Even then you may not think it's that loud until it's on boost, as turbos do a good job of numbing the noise!
