new Scooby owner pboro
Hello everyone,
I recently have bought a 95 Subaru impreza wrx and have a few questions for those who are willing to help. When I bought the car it was a work and progress and I knew it. I have immediately changed the oil, oil filter, spark plugs, air filter, and fuel filter and drained and refilled the coolant and the car ran great. Maybe a few days or so it would start to misfire at idle so I checked to see if the MAF was dirty and cleaned it with CRC cleaner but it still would happen after about a few hours. I also am getting very poor fuel milage which makes me think its the O2 sensor (no check engine light). I didn't by the car for great gas mileage but I know im not supposed to be getting 200 km(125 miles) a tank. I have ordered new MAF sensor to see if that corrects the problem but I doubt it.
If anyone has any ideas on what I should do I would appreciate it. I live in peterborough

Could be coil pack causing misfire, incorrect plugs or incorrect plug gap, injector problem wht fuel do you use?? in all honesty it could be one of many things. Seek proffesional advise from a subaru specialist. In terms of getting low mpg i had a similar problem on my sti several years ago, turned out i had a hole in my fuel filler pipe which wad causing the fuel to evaporate leading to low mpg
