When in 4th boost comes in normal so as ya get near 100 mph on a private road haha it pulls bk then boost again then bk again but when it's very very cold it will boost all the way no probs it's a wrx with td05 18g brand new can some one help think its getting to hot under bonnet ?thanks

 

well does sum one no wot it is ?

 

standard airbox or cone filter? I, like a few others, have fitted a turbo blanket and now under bonnet temps are well down

 

Is it mapped for that turbo?

 

Yes baz mate been mapped for me 18g it's got a kn cone filter 565 injectors 3 port boost solenoid ported haeders and up pipe just fitted Waldron sti top mount sit scoop sti under tray 3inch decat and exhaust and pops & bangs and launch on it think it to much heat

 

When the boost drops and rises again is it doing it fast or slow? and what gear?

 

When the boost drops off its only for a second it's as if it stops spinning then the boost comes bk on again it does this in 4th and 5th soon as ya near a 100 that's when it starts but when it's very cold it boost all the time ? Or and 1 2 3rd boost just like it should so as I said its as if it pulls on then backs off then back on it does this all the way on a long road

 

See if it happens no nearly full throttle, , so back off the throttle a tiny bit. It could be the thottle position sensor going over maximum, if this happends the ECU will cut the boost.

 

So how do I fix this problem as do not no that much about them lol

 

my old impreza had a similar problem...I changed loadsa of sensors plugs leads oil ect it would go and come back....My Solution was get rid!!! haha

 

Best advice I can give is get your mapper to look at it and they can advise. Your posts are vague and hard to understand so hopefully a mapper can sort it out in person
