Default Bit of a bump and gearbox issues?

Afternoon everyone!

Would like to have joined under better circumstance but had a bit of a crash in my bugeye wrx. I've hit a tree at. Low speed so is repairable BUT the gearbox will no longer select gears. The gear stick moves effortlessly along the 'line' of gears 1 and 2 but won't move anywhere else. If you push the stick to go over towards 3 onwards you hear a clunk......what have I done? :/

The engine is currently out so the clutch fork isn't engaging so might this have anything to do with the clunk? But the gearbox selection has been a problem since I crashed!

Any ideas are welcome!!!

Why is the engine out? If its hit hard enough to warrant an engine removal it must have been a hard hit most likely shoved the box back a touch bending the gear selector lever, hope it never hit the cam covers as belt damaged may have happened.
