Default What is supposed to hold the jack and brace inplace?

The jack and wheel brace in my 06 impreza are just sat there inside the quarter panel trim, nothing to hold them inplace or clamp them down so they just rattle about which is quite annoying.

Any ideas whats meant to hold them in place? Any pics?

There should be a square bracket that it just forces into and gets held tight

Ive just had alook on google and found this pic:

I see what you mean now, so it slots in then you open it out abit to clamp it in place. Although all that black padding behind it mine doesn't have.

Mine jack does the same so I drop it into the holder and wind the jack out slightly so it holds and does not rattle.

That's what you are supposed to do: put it in and open it slightly to hold it securely.
