Engine stops as boost starts
Hello i have read some stories about stuttering at boost lately on here and i'm another one thats suffering with it now.
I have a 95 Impreza Jap import running 294.9 hp after fitting a front mount, i had put my foot to the floor in a tunnel and when i released the throttle i blew my air intake off and the intercooler pipe off. I had to limp out of the tunnel.
After Scooby Dave had fixed Bumble Bee Doo and spraycraft had flattend my battery painting doors, the engine stops as the boost starts to work around 3500 rpm then starts again and carries on as normal after a breif strike.
i have read about MAFs, solenoids, plugs (had new ones fitted after tunnel blow off), induction kits and i have changed my waste gate preload from zero when this started to 4/8 turns. I have changed the boost control solenoid.
If anyone has had the same problem can you please let me know what you did if it worked and what was the cure for you.
Thanks

I had similar prob - stutter/hesitation- checked the same as you but it was turbo to IC pipe was split - in my case pro drive pipe replacement fixed the job. Worth checking the hose which means taking IC and pipe itself off - ten min job.
