Default help wont start

ok lads needing some help hear.long story but ive just replace my bottom end block on my type uk sti bugeye,replaced with new cosmetic head gaskets and new cambelt ect.checked the cambelt timing all spot on changed the crank sensor getting fuel ect but refuses to fire up just tries to splutter at the start checked all the conection doing my head in lads

Check can sensor I had same problem turned out to be that, worth having alook!!!

hi mate i just had a quick look there to see if iam getting a spark.it dose spark very faint at the same time it tries to splutter to start just going to try and get a cam sensor next before i lose the rag with it dam thing. showing my age hear lads but when i did my time in a garage cars had plugs points coils and condensors simpil things you could check.sorry for the rant me being a old gitt ha ha

You could maybe try a new set of plugs aswell, might make a difference! Are they gapped correctly?

The plugs were just changed before the dreaded bottom end went

It could be coil pack break down as well, could be worth calling the aa/rac if you have break down cover and see what they say!

Is it timed correctly. Its possible to use the wrong mark on the crank pulley. Many including myself have done it wrong once.

Not teaching you to suck eggs. The arrow on the crank pulley isnt the timing mark. Arrow should be about 2 o'clock

Gives the symtoms you descrbe
