Default Clutch info please

I have just removed my first clutch out of a 98 non turbo legacy. It was slipping badly and I decided that it would be good to practice on because my WRX will need doing sometime soon. I took the engine out.

Is there anything I need to know about putting it back together? Do I need a clutch alignment tool and how do I use it?

I have also identified the oil leak on the engine. It is coming from a metal round cover with 2 bolts holding it on the drivers rear side of the engine. What is in there and is it an easy leak to fix?

Cheers

Dan
