Default bug eye up pipe?

Me again,
as soon as I come on here with a techy question, I get the urge to put in some mods ,so is the catted up pipe worth swapping out for a decatted version, if so which one?,I am not after monster power just would like the boost to be a bit more instant when I want it , other mods are, uprated bottom end, exedy clutch, (import motor in a uk car) exhaust has had 2nd cat after turbo removed, and a panel filter in a standard airbox,so I guess I am after just quicker spool time,
cheers

an sti uppipe should be cheap and easy to get hold of from a breaker on here.
same as a decent second hand exhaust.
you only need a 2.5 bore if your not going massive power

Major ommision on my part, the exhaust system I have is a 2.75" cat back (the only cat left from the turbo onwards is the one directly after the turbo) the system is allegedly pro built and judging by the bends etc is very well done, ie no tapering on the bends etc,so would it be possible to fit an STI up pipe, and run like that until I can afford a remap?, funds are, as all over the place tight, and every time I try to save for something something else crops up so bang goes the money,
cheers

a new-age STi or classic one will work fairly well but the custom s/steel "Harvey" trick up-pipes will aid your goal not only in terms of power but also response.................

either way, personally i would leave it as is until you can afford to fit and map together
