Appologies for yet another ty752 swap to ty754 thread but im struggling here!
I am in the middle of changing over my gearbox and rear diff from a TY752VN5BA to a TY754VN2AA. I am having a problem with putting the rear driveshafts into the ty754 rear diff. There is a square piece of metal in the middle of the diff stopping the offside rear shaft from seating inside the diff. Does anyone know a resolution to this or if i can even refit my old diff from the ty752 box. I have booked a few days off work to do this job and so far i have removed the full exhaust system from turbo back, the prop shaft, TMIC, rear diff, and undone most of the gearbox bolts except for the main undercarriage ones.

Any help would be great.

 

I have read a few threads on other websites and from what i can gather both these boxes have a 3.454 rear diff so i have refitted the old diff. Does anyone know any different?

I have removed the box and clutch today and drilled and tapped the ty754 box for the starter motor.

Gona try and fit the clutch and put box back in tomorrow.
