Default impreza purple maf

hi does anyone know what colour maf a 97 impreza wrx wagon jdm should have? has a 2s ecu.........? mines purple and what is the diffence in them? are they matched to the ecu and if so is mine correct?.......many thanks.....jim

Your better off using the correct one mate. Purples the same a my uk 98. Mine failed and the engine ran like a dog withe the cel light on. Fixed mine instead of buying a new one the solder points are **** on the pins and one had snapped so I unscrewed the 2 self tappers carefully bent the connector down and out just enough to get a fine tipped soldering iron in and resoldered all the pin connections and it's been mint since.

hi, im not saying im going to use a different one, just is mine correct being a v3 jdm wrx wagon with a 2S ecu? just as yours is a 98my uk car with the same colour maf raises the question...

I have the same engine in my Forester and a purple MAF
