Has anyone used these to convert a top entry to front entry?
http://www.smrautoservices.co.uk/TD0...nt%20Entry.htm
Or is there any other companies / people that convert or sell them?
Cheers,
Paul.

If you know someone who can weld aluminium, it's actually really easy to convert these yourself.
All you have to do is chop the bend off, and cut the actual part the hose attaches to and have it welded up again - it's almost plug and play
I did my own chopping and gave it to someone with an AC TIG welder, and he welded it up for me for a pittance (much much less than the price quoted on that website).
You could do worse than ask for someone local on the mig-welding.co.uk forums to do your welding

Have a look over there. All you need is a couple of cm to clamp the hose to

I used the an angle grinder. I think angle grinder is the easiest way for normal people (unless you have a bandsaw etc). You could also use a hacksaw, but you'll have arms like pop-eye afterwards
If you do use an angle grinder, do *NOT* use a generic metal cutting disc as they can shatter/explode (!!) when cutting aluminium. Get some proper aluminium cutting discs (I.e. suitable for aluminium, not made from aluminium oxide) from e.g. toolstation (around 2 quid per disc I think?) and also get a grinding (again, suitable for aluminium) at the same time.
I'd recommend doing the cutting outside if possible, because it generates a lot of dust and it gets everywhere (seems worse than the normal steel dust IMO), plus the dust seems "sticky" as well.
Obviously also use eye protection, and you should probably use some kind of breathing mask too.
