Default Rear arch repair using front wings?

I have been told you can repair rear arches using front wings but wanted to confirm this can be done and is pretty straight forward for a bodyshop to do from me looking at mine they do look the same shape but I haven't got one I can put against the rears to check. Has anyone had this done or even better doen this as i want to know if its worth my while getting a couple of old front wings. Also it is on a Type R if this makes any difference I'd imagine the shape is the same on 4 doors as well though.

Apparently you have to use the opposite side wings, so the front offside would be used on rear near side! Don't know how true that is though!

Yeah I thought that would be the case as the shape of the front of the wing is more like the shape of the rears of the quarter if that makes sense. I'll just have to get a couple of wings cut them to size an see how they look fit wise I guess.

i had it done . and yes it works, found it on nasioc forum, the hard part is repairing and rustproofing the inner arch, make sure whoever does it uses krust or similar after welding as mig welding condensates as it cools. also make sure inner arch area is krusted inside the boot, hard to reach use a 1ltr garden sprayer
