Default faulty lambda sensor?

Cars running really rough, won't go over 3k revs, really judder if u try to go over it, engine almost dies on tickover, checked the fuel pump, filter, lines, all ok, changed the coil pack and spark plugs, no change. What else could it be?

Had / got same problem which was the Lambda sensor last time but now 6 months later and 1500 miles on its doing it again, Mines crap when cold then clears and comes back unless being driven more than sedately.... on motorway clears when up to temp but will come and go in traffic. engine runs bang on mid on temp guage and never goes up or down. exhaust has a slight blow too so wondering if this is adding to the lambda causing the engine check light to come on and off.... also disconnected the maff when running to see if it made any difference and it made the engine drop idle and splutter so guessing MAf is good as it picks straight back up when plugged back in.
Have you checked all the turbo pipe form the actuator to the boost solenoid and else where....?

My brother who's a mechanic plugged a code reader into it but it wouldn't read the ecu, presumably cos its been remapped?
It's an RB5. Full decat, vf23 turbo, fmic, dump value, boost solenoid, think that's it. Thanks.

Most code readers wont read classics. Just connect diagnostic plugs under steering column to get error code. If you need a lambda then i have a genuine one of my old my99 classic, fully working. But get code first.

it came off the standard downpipe in my car when i replaced it with sport cat downpipe which came with another lambda in it.

i had the car for 4yrs, so it could well be the original one for all i know but is working 100%

Just seen that you had a few lambda issues about a year ago, it wasn't that one then?

Yep it is the same lambda but the sensor wasnt the issue in the end. I used to get a 32 error on this one particular hill in 5th gear which then cleared about half a mile down the road after. Once i changed maf and also prodrive ecu the error never appeared again. Also the error wouldnt happen if i was in 4th all a bit bizarre but guessed it was something in original ecu and engine being under load in 5th on those exact riad conditions. Id even bought a bosch ls02 rep sensor but ended up selling it even before fitting it

Are you on the std ecu? I think its caused by the std ecu which runs very rich as std (my99 car) and under certain conditions/engine load causes temporary overheat on the sensor which inturn throws the code. Similar to 'cat on fire' light on earlier imprezas
