Exhaust advice
Hi there
I have been looking at ways to get the power up on my Bugeye, I had a look today and my car has all the cats in place and has the prodrive back box fitted. I want to do away with the cats but dont want the car to be to loud. What is the best type of exhaust to use? I'm happy to keep the prodrive back box so guess I will just need to replace the up/down pipes, decat pipe and centre section? Is this correct?
Thanks Don

Some systems have differenct length pipes so the back box is either too long or short but yes you should justs need to swap the downpipe and centre, becarefull as they come in differnt internal sizes 2", 2.5" or 3". Most of the noise will from the size and shape of the back box. Decatted it slightly louder in some cases but overall it's not bad.

I was going to keep the 2.5" system as I don't expect to get over 300bhp with the mods I have planned. I am going to upgrade the plugs and fit a k&n panel filter. Remove all the cats inc the up pipe and replace with straight through parts. I will fit it all in one go and get it mapped. Any idea how much bhp I will get with the above? It's a 2002 uk wrx.
