Default Supertech titanium retainers

Hi all
I am wondering if anyone has had any problems with supertech retainers. Basically I have fitted complete supertech valve train ie valves double springs and retainers I used original collets. All seemed ok car ran for about 200miles then developed a tapping noise which sounded all over then started to misfire
I did compression test and no comp on no2 so pulled engine and have taken that head off. What I found was that an exhaust valve on no2 had dropped down so I took it out and the collets drop down in the retainer as if the retainer was too big
I tried the same valve and collets with another retainer and it was ok.
So it seems like it is an engineering fault with the retainers
I'm wondering if any one has had this before it am I just unlucky
Thanks Kiran

I'd check the your shim thickness . It may be to thin and the bucket is sitting on the retainer and not the shim causing movement and wear on the retainer and the results you get. Spoke to a well known tuner last night and he mentioned this

+1 on the above especially if the valve seats have been re-faced/cut and the valve clearances have closed up.
