Default Help please guys!!!

A bit of a wierd one, temperature just rose slightly while sat still fund running fine, so pulled over to have alook as I set off and started moving my temperature came down again! Herd some bubbling from around the turbo, I'm hoping its just a hose but anyone experienced this cheers wiggy! Oh by the way it's a 03 bug wrx with td05 turbo

Hi there

This rising coolant temperature can be Air lock or stuck thermostat,but can be too head gasket

Just search here for Air Lock,this can be yours isssue

Cheers will look in the morning but is leaking some coolant from somewhere as well, I'm just hoping its not the head gaskets cheers wiggy

If its leaking coolant then you could easily have air in the system which could cause the rise in temp.

Also how long were you stationary for, a healthy working car will have the temperature rise gradually whilst it idles, hence the need for the radiator fans to keep the temp down whilst moving slowly or not at all.

A slight rise in temperature sounds like it could just be a normal rise if you were stationary long enough...

Just checked this morning, header tank near as dam it empty, top up and took about 1L, but when I squeezed the top hose water started dripping on the floor, will take the inter cooler off after work and have a good noises about, checked oil and no gunk or creamy stuff in there or header tank, heater were still blowing nice and hot last night as well, cheers wigs

Update, after Abit of inspection found the problem, it seemed the turbo to header tank water pipe had split right next to the jubalie coupling, so I chopped an inch of it seems to have done the trick nicely cars running like a dream again, cheers for the advice you have guys
