Default Engine swap,, crank no fire

Just put replacement engine in,, went to turn it over,, no spark so changed the crank sensor left plug out with lead on and we have spark,,

But still will not fire,, removed spark plug again and seemed wet with fuel,, Is this just case of bad spark plus having weak spark?

Have you used the same sprockets that was on your old engine if its got av heads ie sti newage type then they are differant from wrx type and. Make shore all the teeth are on the the crankshaft sprocket they break easly you just need one missing and it wont fire up

Pull all the plugs. clean and dry them. Crank the engine a good few times with no plugs in it and the crank sensor disconnected to expell excess fuel. Put it all ogether and try again

Was the Version 3 engine rebuilt or a low mileage unit ?
Did you actually check the cam timing on the engine before you put it in ??

I think that if your spark plugs are wet with fuel, could be a 0 ring on the injectors that need replacing.Damaged 0 ring is letting fuel into the the cylinders and that's why your spark plugs are wet with fuel.Hope that helps.

Just pulled the plugs out all was wet with fuel,, fitted new ones and still the same,, cleaned up all earth points on engine to,, still just cranks over not even a attempt to fire,, car smells of fuel, checked cam sensor plugs,, make sure was right plug and had to be as injector one does not reach,,,

I have coil pack down as all 4 corners to same as if it was engine,, front left coil to front left piston as looking from the front of car,,

I'm guessing from pervious post and doing some research that I need to change the crank sprocket,, and the cam sprocket,, are these different on between the v4 engines and v3 engines?
