Default Hesitation at WOT, plugs maybe???

Hi guys I have a hesitation when booting it, it's pretty bad to be honest and I'm thinking it could be the plugs, I have no history as to when they were last changed.
Can plugs cause a hesitation only at wide open throttle? When building the revs slowly it seems fine.
Next question is, I know the reccomended plugs are NGK PFR7B's but instead of buying a set at £30+ can I use these ones below as a temp measure?

Like I say I know they're not what people recommend but is it likely to harm anything if I use these to see if the hesitation is plug related as I have them lying around.

Cheers Ian.

I had this exact problem with my classic uk 2000. I chased it round the engine changing the plugs the maf and knock sensors, fuel pump and filter with no joy. I eventually bit the bullet and took it to a specialist who took it for a couple of runs then put a known working coil pack on in place of mine and that cured it! I then went out a got myself one and have had no problem since!

I think you would be as well changing the plugs but for the correct ones. If that doesn't cure it then take it to someone who knows about these cars!

How old are the plug leads? They should have a date on them. I had a misfire and it turned out that they had a crack on the plug connection, turns put they were original, 1998
